History
ACV - Caves Valpaços, C.R.L. was created by a group of wine-growers who experienced difficulties to market their wine. They held a meeting on July 14th 1956 when they signed a public deed recorded by Valpaços notary, which gave birth to ACV.

In its origin, ACV activities were limited to the municipality of Valpaços and the neighbouring civil parishes of Jou, in the municipality of Murça and Vale de Telhas and in the municipality of Mirandela. Throughout the last years its influence has spread out over the whole municipality of Mirandela.
Currently around 2 000 producers are associated to ACV, being its yearly average production 7 500 mil. kilograms of grapes, later transformed into the precious and well-known Valpaços wines.
ACV has gained important domestic and international market shares. ACV wines can be virtually found all over Europe, and in and Angola. In Portugal, there is a complete distribution network and our products can be found in all E.Leclerc shops.
